Training Materials: Learn About Computer Networking

Computer Networking

Section editor
APC

Introduction

The term "computer network" can refer to anything from two computers connected together, to large-scale Local Area Networks (LANs), to the Internet itself - the "network of networks." Networks can help organizations work collaboratively by sharing information, and can also facilitate the sharing of resources such as printers.

This ItrainOnline page offers a small collection of links to resources which we think will be of particular use to NGOs and the development community. A good starting point for learning about computer networking basics is TechSoup's Computer Networks section.
